Greetings all,

As you know I have nominated myself for the Burnmaster position. I have had a chance to burn some more copies of Kubuntu and Xubuntu per Mark's request. I also burned some more versions of Ubuntu geared more towards setting up machines in a business environment. I, of course burned more of the LTS Server with the LAMP portability. I also came across the Alternative iso which will basically prep systems for mass imaging throughout a business environment. For example, Company XYZ buys 20 Dell's without an operating system on an OEM contract and needs to put them into production with Ubuntu. You can take one system and install all the necessary drivers and software, then make a clone image of the hard drive and put it on a disc you can boot or a NAS Volume for download off a network or TFTP. Major timesaver. I also had enough discs to make a single installation set of SuSE 10 Retail.

Secondly, Mark has asked for donations of Legacy Operating Systems to keep on-hand for Crisis Management. Say someone has a system running RedHat 6 and they have lost their medium. Or like an OEM version of Windows for systems with valid Product Key or release candidacy. Anyone who has something collecting dust somewhere that would like to help out, it would be greatly appreciated. If you require us to make a copy of it and give you the original that is fine pending legality. Some older Linux discs I have found in my possession are:

Desktop:

Ubuntu 4.10 & 5.04
Kubuntu 5.04
LFS 6.1.2
Sourcemage 0.9.3
Mandrake 7.0 w/StarOffice
Redhat 8
SuSE Linux 9.1 Personal/9.3 Professional

Server:
e-smith SME Server
Mandrake Corporate Server 1.0
En Garde Community Edition
Trustix Secure Linux
Smoothwall Express Linux 2.0
LTSP install files

Hope to see everyone tonight.

Nik
