    Okay, I did that but even before I did that my Palm wouldn't sync
over the ir port this morning. I thought it might have something to do
with the device permissions so I did this: 'chmod 666 /dev/ircomm1'. No
luck. The only things I changed since last night have to do with the
power management and several reboots as well. Yast asks me whether I
want to create a symbolic link between the ir device and the pilot
device every time I test the ir connection to which I answer yes. It's
not discovered though. Back to grinding my teeth, I'll have to deal with
this later. No time now. I did have time to send Novell a nasty letter,
I'm sick and tired of these things not working.
