[KLUG Members] RADIUS servers for Mobile IP

Good morning. I have a question for those (if any) of you who have
Mobile IP type services. I've been tasked with finding a suitable
RADIUS server with support for Mobile IP.

We currently use freeRADIUS for our customers, and use it to
authenticate DSL and dialup users. However, I've been told (I haven't
found much on the freeRADIUS site) that it doesn't support Mobile IP -
yet. I've been reading RFCs and other information about RADIUS and
Mobile IP, and I don't quite understand how freeRADIUS *couldn't*
support Mobile IP. From what I understand, the only difference between
normal RADIUS authentication, and Mobile IP RADIUS authentication is the
requirement for more attributes, and for us, that's just a limitation of
openLDAP (We use an LDAP back end, so the addition of more attributes
requires the addition of those attributes in LDAP - not a big deal.)
Maybe I'm wrong; perhaps reading RFCs and web pages for a few hours
straight isn't the best for absorption.

At any rate, we're looking at radiator
(http://www.open.com.au/radiator/) which someone else on this list
regards very highly. It is pricey, but again, I do not know if it is
even necessary at this point.

If anybody else has any suggestions for RADIUS servers that supports
Mobile IP, that is stable, and that can potentially run on Solaris, I'd
like to hear some horror stories or recommendations.

Thanks in advance,

Adam
