*2007-08-28 - Virtual Private Networking*
People are setting up more VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), and some
Linux-based software systems provide this with more reliability, flexibility
and ease than ever before. We'll go over a couple of these systems and show
some applications of VPNs to multiple office organizations, and how to save
a good deal of money on communications by deploying Linux-based VPN
solutions.
Robert Brown is a founding member, past chairman and publicity director of
KLUG, and now serves as our vice-chair and sitemaster. He has over 30 years
experience in software development in numerous environments, disciplines,
and industries. An intermittant user of UNIX systems for over 20 years, Bob
has developed applications with Linux in in the course of his professional
and volunteer activities.

He can also be seen cycling the Kal-Haven trail, wandering around doing
nature photgraphy or traveling to some fairly unusual places. After serving
for several years as chairman of an ACM <http://www.acm.org/> Special
Interst group, Bob is now vice-chair and webmaster of that
organization<http://www.sigapl.org/>as well.

I will give a presentation on "Audacity" on September 11
Note: We need two more presentations for September.
The dates are Sept 18 and 25
Any member who would like to volunteer please contact me at

Thanks,
Bill Lindemann
