Actually, you DID know better-- EPSON printers are
MUCH better than HP-- the ultrasonically-sheared
thixotopic ink isn't BOILED like the eroding-head HP,
Canon, or Lexmark printers.  I've fixed 'em all, and
it's nothing but EPSON for me.  The clogging IS an
admitted drawback; regular use prevents it.

Have you tried a cleaning cartridge?  They often work
well, and it's worth a try.
