Most probably you did not react to a meesage posted here by Bill Hollett,

Do you have automatic update working in XP? In Fedora?

Until the bolew (or equivalent) is done, yes.

Have I hinted that you would do to read... :) ....

Here's a good article on updating older linux systems to the new
Daylight Savings Time info (which happens this weekend).

I've tested this on RedHat 7.3 and 9.x systems

When done, you can run timeconfig to copy over the new info.

I read the article and from it, created a script which I have run on a variety
of linux machines (most of them more rcent than Bill's), and they all worked
out fine. I did not, as the article hinted, reboot, but did restart a variety
of serves (Apache, BIND, syslog, sendmail, NFS) where running, and so far I
see things have worked out quite well. I probably forgot one or two machines,
since I was focusing on servers. Today, in my copious free time, I'll do any
desktop machines that were left out of the fun and games.
