[KLUG Members] Linux and NTFS delete

Well Linux killed off the rogue files and I've got Acrobat Reader
working again on my XP. It took a few tries--needed to get it mounted
right and get the permissions right. And then I got the error about
Windows not being cleanly shut down again--probably because I had to
start it to get the DVD tray to open and then powered back down rather
than let Windows load fully and shut itself down. The other challenge,
of course, was to find and correct the various typos that crept into the
command line, though once I had it set up right I was able to use the
Nautilus to delete the files. I also had to go in and delete a bunch of
Registry entries, which I did in Windows rather than in Linux. Very
tedious scrolling through to find the right entries. The instructions I
had seemed to want me to delete the key files before deleting the
registry entries.

Anyway thanks for the various suggestions.
