[KLUG Members] problem with updates on Ubuntu 7.1

Saw that I needed to update my "sandbox" so I pushed the little icon and
it said I had 32 updates.  Not surprising as I am not the best at
keeping updated.  Downloaded same and when finished was told that "7
files were not retrieved".  I told it to try again and when the update
manager finished, with apparent success this time, I closed out the
update manager.  When I was back to my main screen, I noticed the icon
said I needed updates yet.  It now says I have "103 updates available".
Somehow that doesn't make any sense.  My update source is;
mirrors.us.kernel.org/ubuntu.  Any idea what is going on here?
