There is a decent review of mail clients here -

He calls them 'Next Generation', which I find dubious.    'Next
generation' is when they all support the new D-bus thingy (IMHO).  You
can't be 'next' till you offer something new.

But nice to see things go head-to-head with Outlook.

And LDAP support in all clients = "Yes", when it should be "Yes, but
done very very badly" for all of them [ OK, I've never used kmail, but
I'll wager it sucks. ]
