My install is on my one home pc. Big problem with a 3com card. I have
an on board via-rhine nic and a 3com in a slot. The 3com in the slot
was not recognized in the install but was recognized soon after. I had
a hell of a time trying to get it to work until I realized that the
win98 machine I was trying to ping did not have an address because the
dhcp server did not exist any more, OK my fault. But evan then I had to
swap 3 3com cards in different slots till I got two woking nics. (right
now I just wanted to get it to work, not figure why the card that worked
just hours ago in RH9 was not working in SUSE.

Had some fun transferring my data from cyrus-imap's /var/spool/imap and
getting it to work in suse. Got confused when user directories were not
placed under one of the 26 alphanumeric directories. It is working
now. (Prefork=1) seemed to make the difference in getting the mta to
work with it.

Have not had much time to look around yet but things do seem to work
faster, such as rpm -qa | grep xxx.

All other hardware was found without issue. Had to change to the scroll
mouse though, not hard.
