Here's an "AOL Dropped Mail Unofficial FAQ"

that contains lots of tips on how to make your email "AOL
Compliant".  Apparently, AOL is very finicky about whose
email they accept. The theory apparently is that if some
spam gets through, it will be multiplied over millions of
times with all of their users.
