My experience with Linux from books (I assume publishers versions) is that
they tend to be OLD (very out of date).  They usually do not include
commercial demo version either.  But I haven't gotten a CD from a book in
about 18 months (since I got my DSL line :).

And BS-Ware PRO which gives your nearly instant reboots after the power
company whacks your connection.  It is that time of year again (at least
in my neighborhood).
