What does the arp table of the network look like?

+1, me.  Not the modem variety by a Xircom RE-10/100.  Works great.  

The fewer modems in the world the better,  trying to think of the last
time I used one...... :)

I did nothing to the kernel to get mine to work,  but I remember didling
in one of the PCMCIA config files.
