I've had good hardware purchasing experiences with
http://www.affordablecomputers.com/
With some shopping around, you might do a little better on some of
their prices, but I've found them to be responsive, accountable, and
generally alot more knowledgeable than your average sales encounter.
When I was building my T-Bird box, I had some very enjoyable
conversations re: OS (the ones I spoke with were Linux-minded folk),
mobos, firmware, hardware, etc...
A Matrox HD I'd purchased from them over a year ago recently went TU,
and they sent a free (larger) replacement as soon as they recieved
my return.
One downside...they're in MI, so you're looking at sales tax.
I've also made satisfactory one-time purchases from vendors listed on
http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardware/weekly_cpu/2.shtml
and pricewatch, but insufficient number of transactions to make a
substantial recommendation.
YMMV, do not use while sleeping, keep out of the hands of children, etc,
Happy hunting !
