[KLUG Members] Modem Woes

Greetings all:

After much debate over the Windows XP fervor, I've converted one of my home 
Wintel machines to Linux so I don't need to give away a DNA sample to keep 
my system running ;}

I just installed SuSe 7.1 and I'm loving it. I normally run RedHat at work, 
but I wanted to try something new....

Anyhow, this is my first go at playing with a pesky modem. At work I just 
pop it onto the network and viola...(sorta). I went and bought a 3Com/U.S. 
Robotics 56K after many unsuccessful attempts at trying to get my Winmodem 
card to work, but still no luck.

Does anyone have some Websites they'd recommend to begin my Wintel weaning 
process at home?
