Thanks for the puts.

Very interesting assessment and can see the reasoning behind your
comment(s). Guess the east side might feel a little differently with
its strong labor areas - thinking it terms of Detroit and surrounding
areas that have heavy union representation.   It seems to mean unions
are still pretty strong in other areas too, but are feeling the pinch
from the folks who reside in the middle/central area (if Lansing is
considered in that part of the State).

You definitely right IMO ... those politcians can "talk the talk, walk
the walk" woo the liberals and take that money from either side of the
political spectrum.

Of course, you got that beer loving, party time, liberal school on the
East side of Lansing along with that minor league baseball club - the
Lansing Lugnuts!  Love that name ... almost as good as the minor
league hockey team we have done here called "Macon Whoopie(s)".
