[KLUG Members] AGP problem (maybe?)

Bryan,
I am thinking about getting a new mainboard. I currently have an AMD K6-2
550 CPU. Would it make sense to keep the CPU and look for a mainboard that
supports it or abandon the whole setup for a new one? I wouldn't mind
spending around $100.
Thanks

My local BestBuy and CompUSA here in Orlando has nVidia GeForce2 PCI
cards. Although PCI on the GeForce does hit the performance a bit.
Hence why I always recommend the Voodoos which aren't really any faster
using AGP.

Well, the GeForce2 cards are available in PCI.
But for under $100, you can get a SiS735-chipset mainboard, the ECS
K75SA, and a good Athlon processor.
