The CPU is worth maybe $25. You can get a nice SiS735-based Athlon
mainboard in the ECS (Elitegroup Computer Systems) K7S5A for under $65.
It comes with an on-board NIC (although you'll need a driver update for
newer versions) and audio (don't think the audio works with even ALSA
though). It will take both PC100/133 [SDR] SDRAM and PC1600/2100 DDR
SRAM memory (100MHz for 100MHz CPUs, 133MHz for 133MHz CPUs). Either
recycle your memory, or grab DDR SDRAM from Crucial.COM -- 256MB is
under $40 nowdays.

You can then get a AMD Duron Athlon or [Thunderbird] Athlon for $35-50
more, plus a nice Thermaltake Volcano 2 or 6Cu (don't get the 6Cu+, too
noisy with that 7000rpm fan) for another $8-13. This board should work
with any video, HD, etc... you throw at it.
