And the lucky winner? Envelope please ... is Robert Pfeiffer of KLUG!
Yeeaaaa ... (wild round of applause).

Clogged print head! Fixed by removing the cartridge and using a q-tip to
transfer small amounts of 91% rubbing alcohol to the intake tube, making
an attempt to gently work a small amount of it into the tube. After
removing alcohol that merely pooled near the intake tube I waited
overnight and today I own a printer again. :-)

In case I have to make the choice in the future ... what was the approx.
price on the print head? When my LQ 850 print head finally died the cost
to replace it was too much to justify. I got a KXP wide carriage instead.
The KXP machine wasn't half the machine the Epson had been. (Like an idiot
I had been cleaning the Epson print head with power on and accidentally
touched it to the carrier guide bar and made LOTS of fat sparks and turned
a 24 pin head into a 15 or 16 pin print head. :-(

Could I have the link to that site? The Epson is back up & running (great
sample page in the highest res mode!) so it will eventually need more
service. It would be nice to have a better reference site than the
official Epson site.
