IT WORKS!  Okay, so it took me a while... But you were right (as always).  I
installed the kernel-source and pointed the install over there and it didnt bark
once..  

Now, i have everything configured, and its asking me for a licence.. So i go to
the webpage it brings up to "register" and its a store.  They would like me to
buy it.. i thought it was a Demo, or free or something.  I wouldnt have gone
through all that work if i knew i was going to have to spend some $299 on it. 
The only things they have a trial for are the server products... urg... i am
going to bed.
