So here's the timeline.
Friday, March 29: Microsoft and Unisys team up to start a new ad
series called "We Have The Way Out."
The message is that unix is an expensive trap that only Windows can
deliver you from. The ad visual is of a room where someone has
painted themselves into a corner. There's a window next to the
corner. Presumably the painter (who was using a color of paint
similar to Sun's purple) has escaped through the window. Get it?
Friday, March 29, 9:15 AM: Slashdot runs the story.

Friday, March 29, 9:28 AM: A Slashdot reader points out that the
website www.WeHaveTheWayOut.com is actually running on FreeBSD.
FreeBSD is a type of unix.

Here is the ad copy for the planned campaign: "No wonder Unix makes
you feel boxed in. It ties you to an inflexible system. It
requires you to pay for expensive experts. It makes you struggle
daily with a server environment that's more complex than ever."
Followups to advocacy list please :)
