The latest version of OO now includes a file:  Installation_Guide.pdf
So I could say RTFM, but I won't . . .   :-)

Look for a file named "setup" and run it with the "-net" option as root.

  setup -net

Install it in some central location, then as each non-root user, run the
"setup" program in the directory where you installed OO.  After that,
users can run the "setup" in the subdirectory that the first setup
created?  Confused?  RTFM!!!   :-)
