using the support for win32 codecs simply enables you to use a DLL file
for a codec from the legacy proprietary operating system from Redmond.
with a default install, you can just plop these codecs in
/usr/lib/win32, and it should be able to use that codec.

I've only tried it with the Divx 5.0 codec for windows. in theory, it
should work for pretty much any win32 codec.

I'm running Xine on SuSE 8.0, with precompiled binaries. (i was feeling
lazy at the time)
