Yes, even people who have "hardware" firewalls need to keep 
them up to date and flash the new firmware when it comes out.

Don't think buying a NetGear or Linksys or ... box makes you
more secure than a software/Linux based firewall.

I've seen enough of these advisories to make me think twice 
about buying a hardware firewall.

(I'm still not saying anything bad about Jamie's choice, 
specifically anyway :)
