Just out of curiosity:

Exim's filter kicks in after acceptance but before delivery. Milter
works during delivery. Exim can drop a bad message before it gets
delivered, though. Is dropping before acceptance a bigger saver of
CPU/bandwidth/disk space than dropping before delivery? Or is it better
in the anti-spam sense, in that you get to reject the mail to the
spammer's face?
