WWWBoard, http://worldwidemart.com/scripts/wwwboard.shtml is an old standard
for internet bulletin boards, and is freeware (I think). I use Webbbs,
http://awsd.com/scripts/webbbs/ which is about $50 and is the best forum
software I have seen. Take a look at an example at
http://cruisenews.net/cgi-bin/dockside/webbbs_config.pl (one of my boards).
Both of these are perl cgi scripts which will require you to have a web host
or your own server which starts at about $15 a month. You can also use free
online bbs forum services such as Bravenet.com, which are advertising based.
