Hi!
My name is David Thulin, and I currently live in South Haven, Mi.
I recently bought a new hard drive (40.0G Western Digital 7,200rpm
drive), one Identical to the one I currently have Windows 98se on.
I have a Asus via chipset motherbord with a AMD Athlon 850 processor.
I have 512M SDRAM, Creative Labs PC512 Sound card, A 32M GeForce II
video card, and a US Robotics 56K modem.

Now here's the problem. I ran the instal on Red Hat Linux 7.2 and
everything went fine until I went to run the os for the first time.
After solving some small problems I finally came to the log in, and
no gooie...? It looked like "dos". I got the error that something
"wine" failed...? Now, I don't know if it might be that the video
didn't configure properly, (I have a Nvidia GeForce II NX card).
Now here's the funny thing, the first time I tried to instal Linux,
it wouldn't work at all... it would say something like "system error,
insert systed CD and hit enter". But then I installed it by putting
the hard-drive on another computer and it installed. When I put it
back on my computer and re-configured the sound and video card, and
that's when the Graphic display never showed. I'm in Florida right
now, and when I get back home in the end of January, I'll play around
with it at home and try to fix it by reconfiguring the Video. But the
thing I couldn't figure out was how to get from the "dos" prompt to a
place where I could reconfigure the video driver and try to get a
graphic display again.

Well, if it is too complicated to help me with this via e-mail, can
you send me a phone number and address where I can reach you, and let
me know how much (if) you charge for some help...
Thank you for your time.....

David Thulin
