I loaded RH 7.2 on a stand alone pc, activated dhcp, xinetd and telnet and
plugged it into a hub. When I come home now, I can plug my laptop into the
same hub and connect to this linux server w/o a problem. Everything was
going great until I saw CompUSA had a good deal on an SMC wireless Internet
gateway and wireless pcmcia card. I setup the gateway and plugged in the
card on my IBM laptop running W2K and I connected to the gateway w/o wires,
I thought life was good. I configured it to be the dhcp server and a
firewall, it does NAT, dial on demand for my 56K modem as well as a print
server. One problem though, I can't get to my RH server anymore, when I
ping it, it says node unreachable. I deactivated dhcp from the RH server as
the gateway is doing that. Here's a representation of what I have going on
here. I took the hub out of the picture and plugged the RH server and
laptop directly into the gateway.

RH 7.2 server - physical cable - SMC 7605 gateway - wireless - IBM laptop
W2K
 192.168.0.1 192.168.2.1
192.168.2.26

The RH IP address was assigned when I installed RH on the pc.

Any ideas on what I should try?

Thanks in advance,
