This week I had to work on a Windows NT workstation, but nobody knew the
Adminsitrator password. But I found a good solution -

http://www.tux.org/pub/people/kent-robotti/looplinux/rip/

This rescue CD can not only mount NTFS r/w, but has a utility to read and
write the NT SAM and registry. So one just runs chntpw, selects what
user's password to change, types in the new password and reboots to that
crippled OS.

Maybe this is common knowledge but I've never seen this before and thought
it was pretty impressive.
