Perhaps a POP3/IMAP authorization should be required before relaying is allowed? It's a bit of a kludge, but it does get the job done.
You could perhaps setup a smart-host at the remote location that ran something which authenticated itself against a useless POP3 account on the main SMTP server too and just have all clients at the remote location send mail to the local smart-host first.
Best solution: Get a static IP :)
