Bill,

I don't know if all PII MB's are like this, but I had one that went dead,
and all that was wrong was a temperature sensor/fuse that was open.  It was
positioned right under/next to the processor, and looked like a mylar tab,
3/4 inch long by 1/4 inch wide, with a printed circuit trace in it.  At the
top end the trace was silver, and this was what was burned through or
melted.  I replaced it with a wire (protection gone), and it has been
working for over 6 months.
