The kicker is that the other office for my company has 1.5 Mb DSL for less
than 400 bucks a month.  Of course, you could throw a rock and break a
window on the Ameritech building, but that's different.

I'm sure Kevin Mitchell would *love* to pull some strings for me to get me
some high speed access.  For cheap.  They ran fibre on the poles in front
of my house....
(How do I know, you say? Well, they asked if they could park their trucks
overnight in the parking lot here, and we said yes. I then gave a good
lookin'-over of the truck, which had a large spool of fibre on it.  I
should have stolen some as 'payment' and wired my house.  Well, 'fibred',
I guess).  Nothing would be more fun than tripping over fibre than over
wires.
