Okay, I'm corn-fused.  This is a quote from freshrpms.net:

"Note that this package is only available as source since the license
forbidds binary redistribution."

But then they go and supply a binary RPM anyway.  Huh???

And http://mirrors.sctpc.com/dominik/linux/pkgs/mplayer/ also has binary
RPM's optimized for different CPU's.  What's the difference between
those RPM's and the ones at freshrpms?

Update what?  What's a "Apt-RPM"?
