I think that this is a great idea! I will talk to my boss at work to
also see if we could include our networking students in helping out
on the project for network administration and setup support. They
have been begging for some real world experience!

I think that the other thing that is greatly needed is some really
great documentation on how to setup Linux in a multi-user
environment. The documentation that I have found so far is scant and
sporadic. It is also very incomplete. It would also be good to
include documenting the setup for a multi-platform environment!

Last night in class we did ssh sessions to Linux from Windows (that
was easy) and rdesktop from a Linux client to a Windows 2000 Terminal
Server (that was just as easy). We started to work on doing an X
session on a Windows box from a Linux box and it fell apart royally
(well I should have tested it before class too I guess - hehe -
opps). I will get it working (had it working once before but did not
document what I did - stupid me). This is the type of stuff that we
would need to work out for this to work really well.

Where are Comstock schools? (My wife and I home school so do not
know the public school landscape very well)

We could possibly get some home school high school students working
on this as well. They are usually very motivated, learn well, and
have great attitudes.
