Seriously, I wonder if Microsoft made a call about this or if they actually
decided to be a little more modest.  

I was considering giving this distro a try but when I saw it costs $99 to get
their sneak preview I decided not to.  I also read that it runs as root.  It
seems like a step backwards in OS evolution (the newer versions of windows at
least give you an administrator and regular user accounts).

I'd rather see companies developing software for Linux or working to integrate
Linux into existing systems then trying to run Windows apps on Linux.  Just
because Windows is popular doesn't make it better and it certainly doesn't make
it a standard.

ps - for $99 I can get a copy of VMWare and run a both at once so why would I
invest in a kludgy hybrid?
