[KLUG Members] VMware from remote?

I can do this, I think...

If I do:
 X :1 &
export DISPLAY=:1
vmware blah blah

It pops up X in a new virtual terminal (F8 for me), then I start vmWare in
there with no window manager. Works great, but seems to pop it out of full
screen mode when I switch Virtual Terminals. Is tihs what you were looking
for, or something else?
