Maybe I did something wrong the first time, but when I first tried setting
up an RFC 822 alias in /var/spoolpostfix/etc/aliases, Postfix would not
forward the email until I included the destination domain in my
$relay_domain setting.
This is what gave rise to my original question about the $relay_domain
setting.
I didn't mind that first forward to a local ISP domain, but I really don't
want to have to make Yahoo a trusted domain.
I think that Bob's suggestion about the virtusertable in Sendmail maybe
enough for me to try a couple of settings that appear to have the same
function in Postfix.
Thanks for the help,
