If phpGroupware can be flakey does anyone have any other suggestions for
groupware?

Turning off oplocks on Samba seems to have stabilized my Windoze clients for
now, but I am on borrowed time until I can come up with a real workgroup
application to manage in-house colaboration projects (I am still struggling
to get a simple Apache WebDAV page up on my intranet for simple file
sharing).

Via Sourceforge groupware projects, I found something called PHProjekt
http://www.phprojekt.com/index.php that looks kinda kool. Has anybody had
any experience with it?

I ran the online demo and it looked slick. It says it can run on PostgreSQL,
MySQL, Informix, etc. In addition to the usual calendar, projects, etc, it
includes a request tracking system,a timecard app for time worked on a
project, and a chat app. I don't think it had LDAP support.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
