What model?  A robin built a nest right outside my door and I'm
considering pointing a webcam at it.  First consideration is Linux
compatibility, second is price, third image quality (640x480 would
be nice but I don't care about FPS).

I've had Philips recommended to me, how's their ToUcam?  The price
looks right.
