Talking with Ameritech about something else, they offered DSL for 30 bucks a month. Sounds better than most. The modem comes "free" but the operator wasn't the person to ask about linux compatibility. I saw Earthlink and somebody else trashed recently on the list for their broadband efforts, what say ye of Ameritech? kind regards, bill hollett
