[KLUG Members] gd-2.0.x for php

One of my web dev guys need gd-2 for a PHP project.  Currently it is
linked to 1.8.x.  So I'm surfing around looking for a gd-2 RPM for
RedHat 7.x with no luck, anyone know where to find such a beast?

Buidling gd-2.0.4 ./configure;make doesn't seem to produce a valid
library.  libgd.so.2.0.4 shows up when checked with ldd as statically
linked (?!).  Then PHP barfs when trying to link to it during make.
