[KLUG Members] installing new driver

Took your advice and let Kudzu remove the old config and add the new one, telling it to migrate the old configuration to the new card. The card seemed to work ok, but when shutting down to replace the cover on the box Linux reported that it could not shut down eth0:

Shutting down eth0 error: different MAC address.

Is this significant? How do I fix it?

I actually saw one NIC maker go so far as to remove Donald Becker from the credits. Actually.. they just commented out the printk() w/ his name and replaced it with the company name.
