As Someone Else put it, if the computer shut off, everything's cool.
Probably. If it bothers you, though, you might have a look at your
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file. If you see a line with a
set of letters and digits something like 0A:1B:2C:3D:4E:5F, you should
be able to just erase it. If you use KDE, you can avoid mucking about
with text files and try Network Configuration under the System menu. (Or
in a console, type 'neat'). Select the Devices tab, then eth0 on the
list and click 'Edit'. Then select the 'Hardware Device' tab and you
should see a couple of checkboxes and text fields. The lower one, 'Use
Hardware Address' will probably be checked. You could either uncheck
that, or click the button to the right of the text field underneath, the
one that says 'Probe for Address'. Either way should fix the problem.
Unchecking 'Use Hardware Address' just means the computer will try to
grab it at startup, or whenever you restart the network, OR shut down
and restart eth0.

'nuff info for you? *grin*
