There are two other major area out there that are semi related to CAD.
I have never heard of CAM being related to "Computer Aided Modeling" In
the Automotive world which I am accustom to we lump that under CAD. The
CAM I am familiar with is "Computer Aided Machining". "Computer Aided
Machining" has also been very UNIX-centric. Although there has been
allot of advances in wintel area.

The other area that I am not to familiar with is FEA "Finite Element
Analysis". I had a very interesting conversation with our main source
for FEA work. He mentioned to me that he feels this area is moving
toward Linux. He plans to be scrapping all his NT stations and
replacing them with Linux. I wish I knew more about this area and Linux
but I all I know is what my one source has told me.

Bryan, From your replay I could not really tell where you stand on, if
Linux will be a popular choice for CAD. You mentioned that you think it
is all in marketing. Are you saying when CAD will not be Mainstream
until Linux is?
