We gotta show some restraint, you know... sometimes! :)

Well, a "bunch of files" ain't "complete"... what a loose reply! :)

I'm sure I can, if it all bears out.

>Remember that many SRPM files create multiple RPM files...
Sure...Purely comparing apples to apples now, SRPM directories, only.

Well, no need to apologize! :)

OK, it's coming...

>>I think Bruce frequents this site more than I.

I haven't seen you there! :)

I like SRPMs. I have a loaded compiler and make, and I know how to use
them. I tend to (more or less) compile things for a living. I've been
fumbling with things that say stuff like "set up these parameters in
these configuration files, and rebuild so-and-so, with this load library
path, etc., etc. I also know the consequences of using versions of stuff
that are even a wee bit out of synch with what's already on this particular
sandbox, so I'm reluctant to go to the project site itself (except in rare
cases, like it's really newer, or has some killer feature) to get the stuff
direct.

>You may very well be correct, but for the Missouri people on this list,
>please SHOW ME specific examples to back up your outrageous claim! :-)
Well, I'm from New York (but was in Missouri this year), and in this
industry long enough that I don't believe much of anything any more,
unless I'm shown it. My first observation was based on a fast impression,
since I was looking for something very specific...

Outrageous claim indeed! I got the directories from each of the above
URLs, sorted them, and compared them. I am pleased to report that the
claim was indeed incorrect. Most probably I simply didn't wait long
enough for the whole directory to download, or it quit early). Each
directory has 814 files, and as far as I can tell, they are THE SAME.

There, PROOF! :)
