   It JUST might be possible... When I installed OO, I was using Impress to
do my Samba presentation. OO would open Impress just fine but as soon as I
click on ANYTHING, it would crash horribly. Once I uninstalled OO, installed
JRE and reinstalled OO, everything worked flawlessly. This is using OO 1.0.1
on RH 7.3 w/ all the fixes.

   I would suggest uninstalling OO, installing JRE and reinstalling OO and
see if the problem magically disappears.

   See above...

   Samba in itself does NOT use Java in anyway....
