Subject: [KLUG Members] javascript, ATI

Hi all!
OT, but I wanted to massage the brain of the people on this list.

#1 I am havin' problems with a website I manage/maintain at
www.fasnap.com
. The menus didn't show up on anything but IE on Windows, so I used a
util
to help recreate new menus in javascript. Cool, it works on ALL
browsers I
have tested (Mozilla/Windows, IE/Windows, Mozilla/Linux, ..) My problem
is
that it broke my other scripts. I had a script that I used to put up a
temp wait window (very simple, but everyone was sooooo impressed with
it). Now the window won't close itself. I also have some code to get
the
X, Y coordinates for page elements. This allows me to anchor the
floating
menu to a defined position, no matter what resolution or window
size. Short question: How do I unbreak my other javascripts?

#2. I have an Inspiron 4100 with ATI Radeon. 2D looks awesome, and at
1400x1050 on the little notebook screen is pretty sharp. I have not
been
able to get OpenGL to work, though. Anyone run into this? I haven't
tried
getting it going recently---too many projects. Hey, at least after this

week I should be under 70 hours/week because I won't be teaching at the
University next term.

Thx
Randall Perry

PS. If anyone wants those Marathons, printers or HP terminals, you can
have
them. Just pick them up or arrange someone to drag them to the meeting.
PPS Even though it does not affect the standing of a 503c to have
someone
post a link to give stuff away through email, I won't rock the boat and
post it.
