[KLUG Members] Meeting 2003-04-15 - The Gimp

As most Linux artists already know, the GIMP has become THE paint
program for the serious open-source artist. While not (yet) the
PhotoShop killer we hope to see one day, it offers many of the same
features for a much nicer price, and adds scripting facilities That
Other Paint Program still only dreams of. Now, a new kid on the block
means to give the likes of Illustrator what the GIMP has given PhotoShop
for the last several years: a run for their money. On April 15, Andrew
Thompson will demonstrate the features of both programs and how even the
truly starving artist can look like a digital DaVinci... with a little
practice.
