what distro are you using?

first time I heard about ntfsresize was when I was doing an install on
a formerly win xpee machine (my gf's, SHE'S SWITCHED!!! FINALLY!!! :)

in SuSE 8.2 pro, if you use the "rescue" option on the boot menu of the
first cd, you can get to ntfsresize. I haven't bothered playing with it
cuz I just nuked windows.

Gateway desktops make nice little penguin-powered boxes (even though
it's intel-based) everything was supported, except for the crappy
winmodem, but that doesn't matter, cuz she has a more evolved form of
internet access :)

also, one thing I noticed during the install (this machine used to be a
winxp/mandrake 8.2 dualboot) I used Partition Magic 7 to resize the
NTFS partition, and then mandrake's installer to partition the "linux"
partitions (and a fat32 partition to move files back and forth between
os's) Well, when I came to the partitioning section of SuSE's
installer, it said that the partition table was shot. no biggie, cuz I
was going to swipe everything anywho, but is this a known issue with
partition magic/mandrake? the machine was running great (well, for
having windows installed).
