[KLUG Members] server howto?

I want to setup several servers accessed by linux & w2k clients with a 
single signon and having personal and shared filesystems.  I'm wandering 
through the forest and can't see the trees.  I can setup all the above 
but what will make it seemless?  Samba's required for w2k, use NFS for 
linux workstation?  I want to be able to sign on to either workstation 
and get secure access to Linux/NT/2k servers.  (preferrably the first.)
I've played with the K12LTSP, but I can't give up my workstation...
What gives secure single signon access?  I like local applications and 
remote filesystems... does a single howto exist or are there many?  I'd 
be grateful for pointers in the right direction, I don't want to wander 
down dead end paths.   Thanks!    paul
